March 30 2012 it’s not typical for me to prepare early for some “planned” hang out/trip, but for some reasons, I woke up really early this morning (despite sleeping at around 1am) and prepared earlier than expected. The road trip to San Pablo’s Sampaloc Lake took almost 2 hours of our time with little naps here and there and a couple of direction asking along the way. We were supposed to watch the sunrise at the lake but we miscalculated the time XD so missed it. But never the less, we were still welcomed by a very pretty view of an early morning lake scene. :-) The reflection of the sun lit sky on the surface of the lake was just beautiful that i found myself taking landscape shots instead of the normal “me plus a scenic background” snapshot. Me and my friend strolled by the lake under the energetic beam of the morning sun while chatting non-stop (as usual) and while keenly observing the inhabitants of the lakeside (i.e. fishes, snails, protozoas, turtles, algaes). Like most of our hangouts, we quickly lost track of time. It was another relaxing moment. All we did was peak at the lake side, take little walks, sit somewhere shady and share little details about our lives. It’s not everyday that you’ll have such opportunity to forget about the stresses of your normal, fast-tracked life and be a simple entity in the world capable of laughing heartily and lazing out without any pressured thoughts. And yeah, I really enjoyed those couple of hours spent at Sampaloc Lake and San Pablo :-) On the way back to Tanauan, we encountered heavy rain falls. I should feel bad about that but I reverted the not so good weather by using good music to lift the spirits up ;-) It was a roadtrip turned soundtrip XD but once in our destination, the weather became oh so sunny and nice. A good sign?…of impending adventure? :))) yeah, it definitely was a sign! XD Because after the fruitful meeting of KANLUNGAN, we took the road to Lipa only to end up gasoline drained! HAHAHA, And the funny thing about it was that the kids took it as an opportunity to experience the ever so fail film scene where some kids would push their out of gas car straight to the nearest gasoline station. Those kids really know how to spell FUN! :))) 300 hundred years were spent mending that movie-like scene at the road side (kidding!) Then after stopping over at BIR, we went full speed to Robinson’s Place. The kids decided to roam around while me and my friend took the chance to have our hairs restyled in time for summer =D And I sure will never forget my Salon experience today. first, my stylist “almost” refused to cut my hair the way I wanted it to. Second, my stylist took the effort to convince me to simply pull a simple style that won’t involve cutting my hair in such a short manner. Third, I was the talk of the salon plus the center of attention during the time when my hair was FINALLY being styled. Fourth, I was given tons and tons of compliment because (despite the eccentricity of it) the style suited me perfectly. =D It was an “experimental mash-up” of different styles so I wasn’t sure if it would turn out good or what. And I’m simply elated by the fact that people find it really suitable for me :-) “Mission Accomplished!” as stated by my friend.<will post photos some other time> I thought the day would end with that but suddenly, the folks I spent the day with decided to go food hopping and so we speed away back to Malvar to dine at some Lomi House. It was a super meal with all the teases and taunts we threw at each other before, during and after the meal. I was with people way younger than me but I really felt like I was hanging out with my peers because of all the good laugh. So yeah, this day was another unexpectedly amazing day for me. Spending it with people you barely know and yet having so much fun, isn’t that amazing? :-) …looking forward for other days like this! :-)

“What will you do if you were offered an unknown pill that will let you use 100% of your brains capacity?”

That was basically the plot of the story LIMITLESS, starred by the ever so dashing, Bradley Cooper. It was like some magic or what. One moment, Eddie (the main character) was going all broke and tramp with his oh-so-pathetic life then next moment, he’s so enlightened about life that he was able to create a miracle story, was able to clean his swamp-like flat, was able to stop himself from getting kicked out of his house, was even able to hook up with his landlord’s stingy daughter. And that happened 30 seconds after taking in this unknown, clear pill that was called by the “boys in the kitchen” as NZT. It was the lifesaver he’s been waiting. From some trash on the street, he turned himself in to a priceless diamond in a span of weeks.

What’s good about this film was that, the story did not only focused on the miraculous effects of the NZT, but it also showed the bad side of the pill. More than that, the film showed how Eddie managed his life while using the pill, that despite all the glories were raised up to him he still maintained his self and did not let the power and fame to seep in to his mind. That even though he was using the pill at his own disposal, he’s still humane enough to know that he can not live his life just by some medications. He used the pill to build his life and maintained that life while slowly puling away from the pill’s power. Its that point in life when you have everything in your hands, with one simple question to answer: “How will you use it?” And Eddie answered it with a smile and a good life.

SAN PABLO TRIP [03/13/12]
I really love long journeys (travelling in general) because the long road trips somehow relaxes me and energizes me.
I’ve never been to San Pablo, Laguna like seriously. But me and a good friend of mine decided to, one day, go somewhere far and during the bus ride, we decided to go and visit San Pablo. Funny, because we both haven’t been to San Pablo on public transportation (me, of course, haven’t been there at all). So like cute little kids (because we’re both not that gifted with height), with my friend acting as the so-called “tour guide”, we traveled going to San Pablo by asking random people the how-to’s of our chosen travel destination.
We dropped by SM San Pablo to have a late snack (that was past 6pm i guess) and infairness, I really admire the interior of SM San Pablo. Simple but sleek. :-) It’s really spacious and the shops have a really nice area size. After that, we went to the infamous SAMPALOC LAKE. Since we arrived a bit late, the place was already dim, but still, the lake’s a beauty even at night. We walked the 3.7 km circumference of the lake while chatting non-stop. It was a very relaxing and good experience. Although I would end up clinging to my friend whenever we reach areas that are in COMPLETE darkness, it was a really worthwhile stroll. Some nice way to relieve stress and to talk out frustrations :-) I’m going back there for sure! But I’ll make sure to come at an earlier time XD so I can appreciate more the beauty of the lake ;-)

I stumbled upon this picture while I was browsing my FB newsfeed.
I kind of felt nostalgic seeing the picture, because four years back, someone told me about the “impossible love” between an angel and a devil. That person told me that no matter how much two people love each other “if they aren’t meant to be together, then they will never be”. Something about “destiny” irritates me because of that and I actually decided to NOT trust this word DESTINY for as long as its not proven REAL. I mean, I seriously believe that everyone has that “Will” and “freedom” to be who they want to be; to be where they want to be; to be with whoever they want to be. I’m sure that everything’s happening for a reason and everything’s affected by our own CHOICES and not by some who-knows-what DESTINY.
Ok. I sound so “anti” now :)) but i’m not against those people who believe in this thing called “destiny”, I respect their views a whole lot. But nonetheless, I’m sticking to mine, that “If you really want it you gotta go for it and make it meant for you.” :-)
